Here are some simple questions that may be useful for you and the vet when determining which vet you want to take your pets to:

  • One of the first questions you should ask is whether this vet is available in the case of an emergencies and if they are, how can you contact them if an emergency should arise. If they are not available, you should ask if they have a suggestion for any emergency care your pet may require?
  • If you have an rare breed or a pet that has an unusual condition, you should ask the vet if they are familiar with it.
  • Ask them questions and be sure that you are comfortable with their responses. (Do they explain things in a manner you are comfortable with and understand, or do they dismiss your questions?)
  • It is good to know of any specialties your vet may have.
  • It may be a good idea to take the time to meet all of the vets working in an office before you decide to see only one of them.
  • Does the vet provide any other services such as boarding or grooming? If these are services that you require, they may be important factors in your decision.
  • In many cases, money is a crucial factor in determining which vet you choose. It is always good to ask the vet about the fees for routine services like vaccinations and check-ups. It may also be a good idea to ask if they allow payments in the case your pet requires an expensive treatment.

We encourage both business owners and customers to rate and review any business you are, or have been associated with. Here are some questions to think about when filling out a comment.

  • Did they answer any/all of your questions in a clear manner that you could understand?
  • Did they diagnose your pets symptoms correctly and provide a recovery plan that worked?
  • Did they give you extra information about how to keep your pet healthy in the future?
  • Where their facilities clean and welcoming?
  • Did the workers at the facility appear to genuinely enjoy their job?
  • How much time, if any, did you have to wait to be serviced?
  • Do the workers seem to genuinely care about the state of your pets condition?

Animal Health: The Animal Health category is comprised of businesses and services that cater to the general health and well being of your pet.
